Surfing and Mountaineering in North Wales
New for Summer 2011
Combined activity weekend spending a day in the mountains learning basic mountaineering skills and a day on the beach surfing with a local surf coach.
Snowdonia is host to rugged, steep rocky mountains where all the skills required to be a successful mountaineer can be learned and honed. This is the home of the mountains used to train the early British Everest expeditions prior to their departure to the Himalayas.
Clients will be expertly trained in all the basic skills needed to become a successful mountaineer. Walking over rough terrain, navigation, scrambling, rock climbing, ropework, abseiling, camp craft, safety issues and environmental issues will all be addressed.
Hell's Mouth is a bay which sits on the south west edge of the Lynn Peninsula, just west of the Snowdonia National Park. This is the venue for our day in the surf with a top local coach. The bay is facing directly into the Atlantic and the breakers hitting the shore have travelled across that mighty ocean.
Two nights bunkhouse accommodation are included in the price for the weekend as well as a beach BBQ on surf day.
