What people are saying...
Adrenalin fuelled, top day out. A good team building experience, having to put yourself in the hands of your collegues in a crucial situation.
Darren Fox, Learning Support Worker
A great day out. Great scenery, fresh air, top environment and excellent, easy going staff. As well as learning a lot about working as a team in a high pressure situation I had a good laugh.
Ben Partington, Learning Support Worker
Exhilarating and stimulating - a great day all round. Fantastic instructors and great company. When’s the next event?
Andy Williams, Ju-Jitsu Instructor
A brilliant day out, I’d recommend it to anybody. I’ve learnt that I can do things I never thought I could and I’m part of an energetic, reliable and unflappable team.
Jessica Milnes, PA
The course was excellent for confidence building and brought everyone together on the same level. Any hierarchy vanished leaving just teamwork which enabled non-management to excel. The programme brought home to management that we have a staff team that are keen to have a go outside the comfort of their familiar daily routine. I was personally challenged as I fear heights. The OH staff helped me face my fears and channel them. Now I’m at the point where I’m ready to face them again and push it! The trophy we were awarded is in the office and is a constant reminder that we earned it together working as a team all on the same level.
Michael Lyn, Head Teacher
The classroom session set the scene well and focused the group for the rest of the day. I enjoyed the team initiative where I could revisit my first aid skills. The climbing exercises focused on trust placed on individual team members and I personally felt challenged to push myself hard. The course helped us concentrate on areas for development within the team and how to incorporate it’s members into appropriate roles.

I did a beginners climbing course with Jon and had a great weekend. I've always wanted to try climbing and went on the course on my own which was a little nerve-wracking. I needn't have worried, Jon made me feel safe and put me at ease. He is a great instructor, professional and good fun. I would highly recommend his company for any outdoor and climbing courses.

My name is Dave Hughes and I am a 36 year old accountant living in London. Jon instructed me on a Fear of Heights course in June 2008, when after discussing the issues that had made us scared of heights we then abseiled and rock-climbed in the afternoon and the next day. Jon injected humour into the day and showed a lot of patience with us as we were nervous and wanted to do things at our own pace. But after some training/reassurance into how the equipment worked by the end of the first day we had all completed three different abseils of increasing height and difficulty and I was happy to go down the highest abseil two or three times, which I did not believe that I would have done at the start of the day. On day two we began rock climbing and again spent our time going through the technique side of things and getting used to the equipment and the climbing shoes. Having started small and slowly worked our way up - thanks to Jon's patience and understanding again - all three of us on the course completed a rock climb in the Peak District National Park, which none of us believed we could do before and then celebrated with a meal in the local pub. Many thanks to Jon, his friendliness, his ability to make us relax and give us all confidence to do something that we were previously petrified about doing all added up to a weekend that I still look back on with a smile to this day.
