Activity Holidays

In October 2010 The Outdoor Hub will run it’s first overseas trip.

Cirali Valley is in the Antalya region on the Turkish Mediterranean coast. At the time of writing we have just got back from a research trip and were amazed by the place’s potential.

This steep sided valley is home to numerous bolted sports climbing routes and the possibility for traditional climbing is endless. As well as the outstanding existing climbing and future possibilities the area has much more to offer.

  • Huge limestone gorges provide great canyoning possibilities.
  • Cirali is passed by the Lyceian Way and various peaks up to 2000+ metres can be reached by a one day trek.
  • Local diving schools have been engaged to provide dives for beginners and experienced divers alike. (PADI)
  • Deep water soloing has become popular with local climbers and boat trips are available to the hot spots.
  • The beach is only a short walk away where sea kayaking tours around the local caves and secluded beaches depart.
  • Mountain biking trails are within peddling distance.
  • The area is steeped in history and ancient Greek and Roman ruins are all around you.
  • There is no high rise development or package tours in the area due to the history of the place and the fact that turtles nest on the beach.

Turkish instructors and guides have been engaged to provide the instruction and local knowledge essential for the ultimate experience in all the fields offered. Our own staff will be on hand to ensure all flows smoothly and make your trip more than memorable.

Each team member will have an insurance policy tailored to meet their requirements in whichever activities they engage in on the trip.

Accommodation

Various accommodation options are available. We have made plans to book a whole pansyion  as a base for the group. A pansiyon provides accommodation breakfast and an evening meal. The food while basic is freshly cooked and of a high standard.

Accommodation consists of en suite, air conditioned bungalows or camping and is right in the middle of the valley’s entire established climbing routes and an ideal base.

Cirali is a very quiet hamlet which consists of a few shops and a handful of small pansyion complexes. For those looking for a bit more life accommodation can be arranged in Olympos, a 20 minute walk away. Here are bars, live music and two discos – some thing for everyone.

Adrenalin fuelled, top day out. A good team building experience, having to put yourself in the hands of your collegues in a crucial situation.
